(Guangzhou, November 17, 2017) The second-generation MG6 was unveiled with a new plug-in hybrid powertrain in the 15th Guangzhou Motor Show. It is designed to serve the young generation, who are living with the Internet and an elegant lifestyle. With significant improvements over the previous model, it will be able to provide them better new energy driving experience and elavate their intelligent experience.
It's MG's first step toward the futrue new energy models, with the E-Motion sports car set to launch in 2020. The MG6 features the brand's latest autonomous technology and on-board entertainment. The car uses "NetGreen" and "NetBlue" plug-in hybrid technology alongside a turbocharged engine. A 10 inch high-definition Internet screen provides Bluetooth connection and rear-view camera display. It also features keyless entry and autonomous parking - via a mobile phone app which can be downloaded by the MG driver.
As the first saloon of the E-motion design concept, the second-generation MG6 features additional sporty design cues to mark it out as an MG. An aggressive "star rider" grille sits between a pair of LED headlamps and sequential turn signals. This sporty language continues in the interior with two-tone leather seats, a well organized dashboard and highly-interactive control panel.
